Do you kids remember that Rachel Leigh Cook commercial? Yeah, that’s basically what inspired this strip.

Allusions aside, this leads to an important part of my vampire/zombie mythos: Because of Daisy’s lifestyle with Gatz, she’s a rather longlived zombie. My thinking is that rampaging zombies probably don’t last long. They can’t feel pain. They just keep going at it till they fall apart. What do you think? Two weeks tops, maybe?

Based on this, my thinking is that Gatz and Daisy hooked up rather early on in her zombie life. That’s why she’s pretty well preserved. Also, it does help when your significant other is an overprotective, possessive and supernaturally strong vampire. Oh yes, Gatz has those vampiric characteristics, too.

Hope you enjoyed! See you all Thursday!

P.S. I tried a different pen for this strip today. I think it’s cleaner than the ballpoint pen of earlier strips. I’ll keep trying.

P.P.S. I almost balked at drawing real zombies. Those guys took some time, but I think they look rather zombielike, don’t you?

P.P.P.S. I keep editing Daisy’s hands. I’m pretty sure now that she only has two fingers (pointer and index) on her left hand. Her right hand is still in flux.

P.P.P.P.S. I almost forgot to mention that Daisy’s using a tablet! She doesn’t have a lot of fine motor skills, so the swipe feature is really useful for her.
